Holiday Romance by Catherine Walsh
Do the holidays stress you out?
Well, I have the perfect solution, read a holiday romance.
Actually, you should probably just read Holiday Romance by Catherine Walsh. Now honestly, I have not been posting anything on this blog because, well, I am busy and also because I don't always know exactly what to say about the books I read. After all, this is not a book report. Yet, I keep coming back because I have many opinions and need an outlet, so let's hope this is fun and cute, decidedly NOT a book report.
Now, I love a holiday romance. Well, I love romance, and I love the holiday season, so a holiday romance is a perfect amalgamation between the two this time of year! Holiday romances can get cheesy and very Hallmark-Esq, which is fine sometimes, but you know, not ALL the time. This is why I am very happy to present to you, dear reader, whoever you may be, Holiday Romance!
This book was a delight! We have everything, adorable main characters, witty repartee, quirky family members, and, like *spoiler alert* a kiss and makeup in the snow grand gesture. Really what else could I wish for this Christmas! Our main characters here, Molly and Andrew, are quite frankly adorable. The way they talk with each other is funny and sweet, and it was honestly a blast following them around as they tried to make it home for Christmas!
This is a friend to lovers, Molly and Andrew have a past, and honestly, this really adds to their character plot lines. They know each other, they obviously love each other, and you will love seeing how they get together. It was giving When Harry Met Sally mixed with People We Meet On Vacation but at Christmas time!
Honorable character mentions go to Hannah for being adorable, Christian for keeping it so real, and Zoe, who was a real one during this whole book. Also, Molly and Andrew for being adorable and real. Seriously, I wish everyone who has to travel home this holiday a cute airport crush, possibly even an airport meet cute moment? Does that sound better than it actually will be? Probably, but hey, you never know! I am HIGHLY recommending this book for the Holidays, as it is, as the title tells you, a Holiday Romance and a perfect one at that! Merry Reading!
XOXO,
Emma
